Job Function: The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and accurate receipt, inspection, movement, and distribution of raw materials throughout the facility. This role ensures materials are received according to purchase orders and packing slips, properly identified, and available to support production requirements. Job Duties: Safely unload incoming raw materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Verify received materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation to ensure accuracy. Inspect incoming materials for damage, quality concerns, or non-conformances and follow established procedures for segregation and reporting. Accurately identify, label, and bar mark materials according to customer, operational, and traceability requirements. Supply production areas with approved materials to support manufacturing schedules and minimize downtime. Operate saws and related equipment to prepare materials according to production requirements. Complete material receipts and inventory transactions accurately within the company’s ERP/WMS system. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling, storage, and documentation practices. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers. Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and inventory transactions. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and perform physical job duties throughout the workday. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in receiving, warehousing, material handling, or manufacturing preferred
