THE JOB We're looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative compliance professional to support marketing and product compliance across Cardless's credit card programs. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, marketing, and product, helping ensure our customer-facing materials and application flows meet regulatory and partner bank requirements. As a Marketing Compliance Manager, you'll review marketing materials, disclosures, and customer journeys to ensure alignment with applicable laws and internal standards. You'll work closely with marketing, product, operations, and legal to help bring new card programs and campaigns to market in a compliant, customer-friendly way. Cardless is a program manager that partners with FDIC- and OCC-regulated issuing banks to design and deliver co-branded credit cards. Our compliance team operates under this bank partnership model, which means your reviews must account for obligations across multiple bank partners, each with different regulatory expectations and approval processes. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role with no direct reports. You'll personally run the marketing and disclosure reviews and build the review process itself, turning today's informal, case-by-case approach into clear checklists, approval workflows, and audit-ready records, rather than maintaining an existing program. This is a strong opportunity for someone midway through their compliance career who wants hands-on exposure to fintech product launches and marketing reviews in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and who is eager to lean in and learn from a strong compliance team. RESPONSIBILITIES Review and approve marketing materials, disclosures, and application flows for compliance with applicable regulations and partner bank requirements. - Support new card program launches by ensuring required disclosures and regulatory elements are accurately incorporated. - Partner with marketing, product, design, and operations teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical, customer-friendly guidance. - Assist in interpreting and applying requirements under Regulation Z, Regulation B, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, FCRA, and related consumer protection laws. - Maintain and update marketing compliance policies, procedures, and review checklists. - Track and document marketing reviews to ensure audit-ready records and clear approval workflows. - Escalate higher-risk or complex issues to senior compliance leadership with clear analysis and recommendations. - Support partner bank reviews and respond to compliance-related inquiries as needed. - Contribute to training and awareness efforts to promote compliant marketing practices across the organization. REQUIREMENTS - 4 to 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk, or a related function within banking, fintech, or financial services. - Working knowledge of consumer protection and marketing-related regulations (e.g., Regulation Z, Regulation B, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, FCRA). - Strong attention to detail and the ability to review customer-facing content through a regulatory lens. - Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented feedback. - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - A collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams. - Comfort using AI tools to work more efficiently and expand review coverage. - Proven ability to operate independently, without a defined playbook or daily check-ins. BONUS POINTS - Experience reviewing marketing materials for credit card or consumer lending products. - Exposure to fintech or partner-bank program structures. - Interest in consumer finance, loyalty programs, and credit card products. - Curiosity about how compliance can enable responsible, innovative growth.
