Job Description Manufacturing Operator/Tech Req Id: 1972 State/Province: Maryland Business: Gore Fabrics Category: Manufacturing Sub-Category: Production/Manufacturing Work Arrangement: On-site Posting Start Date: 7/17/26 Posting End Date: 8/1/26 ## **About the Role** We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Flexible High Performing Manufacturing team and work the 3rd Shift. This role ensures that operational objectives and business needs are met by cross-training and providing support across multiple manufacturing areas and equipment as required. Standard hours will be 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday. This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits:** - $19 - $32 per hour - This role is eligible for an additional $2/hr shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts. - Factors considered in extending an offer within this pay range include (but not limited to) education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. - Medical, Dental and Vision benefits effective on Day 1 of employment! More details are available at https://www.gore.com/careers/benefits ## **Responsibilities** - Operate manufacturing equipment (including troubleshooting, accurate record keeping and data entry, and preventative maintenance). - Utilizing quality systems, work instructions, and SOPs to consistently deliver products that meet customer requirements, both internal & external. - Identifying and actively participating in continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing practices. - Following and advocating all safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment, and completing 100% of monthly and yearly safety training and completing and ensuring all area training documents are complete and up to date. - Working independently and within a diverse team and contributing to a high performing manufacturing environment. ## **Required Qualifications** - Minimum of 2 years of experience operating manufacturing equipment. - Demonstrated basic computer skills and ability to learn more advanced computer applications (i.e. manufacturing execution systems, enterprise resource planning systems) as well as good documentation and record keeping skills. - Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Demonstrate the ability to be motivated and a positive influence on team and teammates. Work independently as well as in a team environment. - Be willing to adapt to changing business needs, with a willingness to work overtime, weekends, and alternate between shifts and areas if business needs. - Must be able to lift 35 pounds as necessary, operate a powered industrial vehicle, and stand for long periods of time. - Ability to travel up to 5%. ## **Desired Qualifications** - High school education. - Manufacturing Inspection experience - Mechanical aptitude. This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role. This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC §1324b(a)(3).
