**Position Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support our custom ASME Code pressure vessel manufacturing operation. This position serves as the technical link between Engineering, Quality, and Operations, ensuring projects are manufactured efficiently, meeting customer requirements, and are delivered on time. The successful candidate will manage multiple contracts, improve manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. ## Primary Responsibilities: - Support the manufacture of ASME Section VIII pressure vessels while ensuring compliance with applicable ASME Code requirements. - Utilize ISO 9001 quality management processes and participate in audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities. - Use ERP software (JobBoss preferred) to manage work orders, bills of material, routings, material status, and production scheduling. - Track multiple customer contracts simultaneously by monitoring material availability, job travelers, engineering deliverables, quality checkpoints, and engineering & production milestones. - Act as the primary liaison between Engineering and Operations to communicate priorities, design changes, manufacturing concerns, and project status. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on drawing accuracy, bill of material structure, manufacturability, internal communication, and documentation. - Develop operational initiatives that improve production throughput, reduce bottlenecks, and increase manufacturing efficiency. - Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to achieve customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery. - Provide technical support to production by resolving manufacturing issues and implementing engineering changes. - Interact directly with customers through project management activities and technical discussions. ## Required Qualifications: - Associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline. Previous ASME code experience will also play a role. - ASME Code pressure vessel manufacturing experience is REQUIRED. - Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System. - Experience with ERP software; JobBoss experience is strongly preferred. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects while balancing current production backlog and future manufacturing forecasts. - Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills. ## Preferred Technical Experience: - ASME Section VIII, Division 1 pressure vessel fabrication. - Interpretation of engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and weld details. - Working knowledge of WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, and welding processes including GMAW, GTAW, and SAW. - Pressure testing, quality documentation, and manufacturing records. - Bill of Material (BOM) development and routing accuracy. - Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies. - Capacity planning, production scheduling, and throughput optimization. - Root cause analysis, corrective actions (CAPA), and nonconformance (NCR) investigations. - Cross-functional project management and customer communication. - MRP/ERP systems with JobBoss experience preferred. ## What We Offer: - Opportunity to work on complex custom-engineered ASME Code pressure vessel projects. - A collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth. - The opportunity to make a measurable impact on manufacturing performance and operational excellence. - A quality and customer-focused environment with the opportunity to make a difference and work with all levels of employees.
