The Opportunity: Definian is seeking an experienced, certified, Workday Data Conversion Lead/Manager to join our Workday team and support our next phase of growth in India. In this role, you will work directly with clients to understand their business needs, solidify requirements, and become an expert with respect to their data. You will apply innovation, intelligence, and problem-solving skills to build custom solutions to their specific needs and guide them through large-scale technology transformations. Job Title : Manager - Workday Data Migration Position Type : Full time Location : Hyderabad Office (Onsite) What You'll Be Doing: Lead the full data conversion workstream on Workday implementations, owning scope, quality, and delivery from kickoff through cutover and stabilization Taking direct ownership of mission critical data requirements in a fast paced, collaborative work environment Manage and mentor a team of data conversion/migration developers, setting expectations, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring timelines are met. Delivering technology solutions to clients across industries, such as Manufacturing & Distribution, Education & Government, Consumer & Industrial Products, and Life Sciences & Healthcare Working with clients to understand their current data landscape and advising on the strategy to align with their future-state data landscape. Build, maintain, and execute against the data portions of the project plan and cutover schedule, including task sequencing, dependencies, test cycles, and go/no-go readiness criteria. Designing and developing custom solutions for clients using a variety of software and programming tools, including Definian’s proprietary software product (Applaud), Workday, SQL, PowerShell, Excel, and VBA Participate in requirement gathering sessions, mapping workshops, daily test cycle calls, cutover planning meetings; manage escalations and risks proactively. Partner closely with global system integrators and client stakeholders to align on data scope, transformation rules, and acceptance criteria. Bring your go-lives with you. Using quantitative methods to derive actionable insights, patterns, and outcomes from data Learning leading enterprise software products such as Oracle, SAP, and Workday Becoming a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remaining up-to-date on industry news What You’ll Bring to the Team: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Workday Data Migrations required. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Experience loading data to Workday using standard tools such as EIB and Customer Central . At least 4 years experience in leading/managing a team . Deep, hands-on expertise in Workday data migrations across the full conversion lifecycle — extraction, transformation, mapping, loading, and reconciliation. Strong SQL proficiency including complex queries for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation. Develop and maintain conversion mapping documents, data templates, and transformation logic aligned to client and project requirements.
