Role Summary and Impact In this role, your key responsibilities and goals will be: Compliance Reporting: Review, administer, and ensure timely submission of quarterly, half-yearly, and annual Compliance reports in alignment with Regional Risk and Control deadlines Framework Mastery: Maintain strong familiarity with WPP and WPP Media Compliance policies and the WPP Risk and Control Matrix (RCM), with a comprehensive understanding of the Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework Process Optimization: Scrutinize and refine internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), authorization matrices, local policies, and control processes to ensure continuous effectiveness and relevance, reporting findings and recommendations to the Regional Risk & Control Director and CFO Audit Coordination: Serve as the central coordinator for local ICFR and Internal audits, facilitating seamless progress and successful outcomes Remediation Management: Review and assess remediation actions arising from Internal and External audit findings, ensuring appropriate and effective management responses Advisory & Support: Act as a trusted point of contact for internal stakeholders on compliance queries, providing clear guidance on policies, procedures, and processes Training & Culture: Develop and deliver engaging training sessions on WPP policies to drive compliance awareness and build a strong compliance culture across the organization Governance Projects: Lead workshops and projects to continuously strengthen the overall governance framework Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in risk, control, or compliance functions, with a strong background in SOX compliance; prior experience in an audit firm is a distinct advantage Solid understanding of internal controls, ICFR frameworks, and audit processes Strong command of English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex compliance matters clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders Proven ability to work independently with a high level of initiative, self motivation, and ownership Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with a collaborative and approachable style that builds trust across all levels of the organization Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to identify risks and recommend practical solutions Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Life at WPP Media & Benefits Our passion for shaping the next era of media includes investing in our employees to help them do their best work, and we’re just as committed to employee growth as we are to responsible media investment.
