The incumbent ensures that the primary focus of all employees in their assigned section is providing excellent customer service that maximizes student success and support. The position is responsible for upholding and promoting the mission of the Learning Commons, and the training, supervision, and overall performance of their assigned direct reports. | | --- | | **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:** Essential Performance Requirements\* ⦁ Supports the strategic objectives of the Learning Commons ⦁ Implements training for assigned employees; assists in the creation of training and best practices ⦁ Designs and implements sound operational policies and procedures for the Learning Commons ⦁ Evaluates effectiveness of operational policies and procedures ⦁ Recommends purchases and monitors expenditures for items suited for assigned area(s), including multiple learning labs ⦁ Develops instructional objectives, plans, and assessment tools for the area of responsibility ⦁ Maintains inventory records and an accurate accountability for all supplies, materials, equipment, and software computer packages in multiple labs ⦁ Provides excellent customer service as a primary contact for patrons of the Learning Commons ⦁ Provides tutoring services as needed in assigned areas General Supervision and Management Supervises and manages directly reporting employees in the assigned area(s) Service Excellence ⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements ⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College Supervision Works under the general supervision of the assignment area(s) campus leader \*Performs Other Related Tasks as Required *The duties listed are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
