Be part of a collaborative team that values clinical excellence, innovation, and exceptional care. **Now offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates!** **Position Details:** - Full-Time, 40 hours per week. - Hours: Mostly 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm. 10:30am-7:00pm once a week and weekend rotation of either a Saturday or Sunday from 7:30am-3:00pm. Be responsible for the variety of breast imaging examinations for the purpose of assisting in a patient’s medical diagnosis or screening for cancer ## ## Patient Care & Imaging - ## Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner. Follow department protocols and specific radiologist direction. - ## Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure; assuring information is documented in accordance with the department's standards. - ## Prepare patient for procedures; providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety. - ## Select and operate breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results. - ## Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest. Explain the need for breast compression while respecting the patient's ability and comfort. - ## Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others. - ## Experience with stereotactic biopsies and/or willing to be trained to assist with this procedure ## Department Support - ## Participates in staff meetings with employee involvement - ## Maintains positive work relationships with co-workers, physicians, and other health care team members - ## Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workers - ## Maintains confidentiality with others regarding patient and organizational information - ## Maintenance of supplies needed to ensure adequate levels within the department. ## **Experience and Qualifications:** - ## Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program - ## Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography is required. - ## Active ARRT certification status maintained by fulfilling continuing education requirements. - ## Illinois State Licensure (IEMA) - ## CPR Certification - ## Mammography experience preferred but not required - ## Stereotactic biopsy experience a plus - ## Interpersonal and communication skills and the ab…
