Maintenance Technician II-1st Shift Thurs-Mon

This is a full-time position in a food manufacturing environment with opportunities for advancement! **What You Will Do:** - Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and food production machinery to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime. - Perform complex mechanical repairs including shaft keying, sprocket broaching, gear head replacement, stainless steel welding, hydraulic hose fabrication, and belt maintenance using specialized tools and equipment. - Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of new or modified plant machinery to support production needs. - Diagnose mechanical issues through observation, auditory assessment, and use of precision measuring instruments, and effectively identifying and resolving root causes. - Utilize SAP software to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and communicate effectively with production and operations teams to optimize workflow. **What You Will Bring:** - High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred. - 3+ years of related experience. - Work different ranges of hours such as full-time, overtime, or weekend shifts. - Basic to advanced mechanical knowledge, electrical and building skills. - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. *CJ Schwan's and its employing subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers.
