Maintenance Technician/Carpenter - NEW STARTING WAGE!

There shall be no discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, race, religion or belief, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, or sexual orientation.* ## Description **We are looking for the newest member of our Maintenance team!** New Hope is a non-profit organization and is dedicated to enrich the lives of others with disabilities. **Description** - Performs skilled woodwork in layouts, installations and alterations of cabinets, counter-tops and small remodeling projects. - Performs skilled woodwork in maintenance and repairs of doors, trim, furniture and building structures. - Makes rough sketches and estimates of materials needed for a job. - Repairs walls by applying drywall in the appropriate steps to completion. - Maintains appearance of furniture, wood and walls by applying a matching coat of paint, stain or varnish as needed. ## Requirements - Must have a valid driver's license - CDL with passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain one, satisfactory driving record and insurable under New Hope's insurance. - Subject to the Federal Transit Administration's Drug and Alcohol Testing Rule. **Required:** High School diploma or equivalent and job-related training **Preferred:** Technical training in finish carpentry, woodwork, dry-wall installation and painting. Training in appliance, electrical and plumbing repair.
