Join us and become part of the power behind possible. **About The Opportunity** The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for effectively and efficiently maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance following corporate standards for quality and safety. **Position Summary:** - Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures - Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines - Train other employees (as directed or needed) - Communicate effectively with associated personnel (both verbally and in writing, speaking clearly in English and/or Spanish) in all phases of the operation and processes - Operate cranes, truck or motor vehicles - Operate forklifts and/or powered industrial equipment - Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment - Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service - Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities - Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines - Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service - Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments - Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities - Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties - Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision - Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of work area - Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements - Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors **Performance Measures and Outcomes** - Adherence to safety policies and procedures - Quality of work - Production goals **Education/Certification** ***Level Desired*** ***Description*** - High school diploma or equivalent - AA Degree - Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance **Work Experience** ***Desired*** - Completion of a craft apprenticeship - Production maintenance experience - 4+ years of manufacturing experience - Mechanical & electrical and industrial skills **Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** - Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner - Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business - Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed - Ability to effectively work in teams - Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people - Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles - Able to read, write and understand English - Must be highly motivated and able to work independently - Ability to read, comprehend and, where necessary, complete: blueprints, electrical schematics, operating and maintenance manu…
