Plant Maintenance Manager Full time Monday to Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Dimensions of Position: The responsibilities of the Plant Engineer include the administration of plant engineering, communications, equipment and process improvement, maintenance and acquisition of new equipment Reports To: Plant Manager Entry Level Skills and Temperament Requirements: • 3 to 5 years of experience at a similar or higher position • 8 to 10 Year in Machine troubleshooting Knowledge and hands on experience in: • Preventive maintenance and procedures • Hands on experience in trouble shooting and repairing extruders, grinders, mixers, compressors and forklifts • Facilities operation • Equipment repair and improvement • Knowledge of computer systems • Thorough understanding and practice of supervisory practices and techniques, and the ability to transfer this knowledge to others • Team supervision and mentoring skills. Education and Training Requirements: • Maintenance / Mechanics / Electro Mechanics degree. • Or Similar and compatible experience Primary Functions: • Assuring facility maintenance • Manage, maintain and develop • Building and plant renovation, expansions, equipment relocations • Ongoing improvement of work methodology includingautomating processes and implementing new procedures • Responsible for maintaining sufficient inventory of all necessary workshop tools and materials • Direct the coordination and inspection of contracted work for compliance with specification and adherence to quality • Working closely with all departments and members in improving health and safety conditions in the plant
