Precinmac is a leading supplier of mission-critical, precision machined components used in the aerospace and defense, semiconductor, and automation equipment sectors. We specialize in manufacturing uniquely designed high tolerance precision machined components and assemblies, with a focus on continuous improvement, on-time delivery, and the highest possible quality and consistency. We are looking for an experienced facilities manager to keep us driving the future for our Texas based manufacturing locations. # Position Summary: The Maintenance Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the operational integrity of AS9100-certified precision manufacturing facilities serving aerospace, defense, and space customers. This individual leads all maintenance and reliability activities for a fleet of 130+ CNC machines — including EDM, turning centers, 4-axis and 5-axis milling machines, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and assembly workstations — while ensuring compliance with the stringent quality, safety, and traceability requirements of the aerospace and defense industry. The Maintenance Manager develops and drives a culture of planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance, minimizing unplanned downtime and protecting production schedules that support mission-critical programs. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations leadership to deliver equipment reliability metrics that directly impact on-time delivery and AS9100 compliance. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Maintenance Operations & Equipment Reliability** - Oversee all maintenance activities across 130+ CNC machines including EDM (sinker and wire), turning/lathe centers, 4-axis milling machines, 5-axis milling machines, CMM inspection equipment, and assembly support systems. - Design, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) program covering mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and coolant systems for all production equipment. - Drive adoption of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) strategies — vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and spindle monitoring — to reduce unplanned failures and extend machine life. - Ensure rapid response and resolution of unplanned breakdowns to minimize production disruption; establish and track Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) KPIs. - Manage facilities maintenance for HVAC, compressed air systems, electrical distribution, coolant/filtration systems, overhead cranes, and forklifts. - Coordinate with OEM vendors and field service engineers for major machine rebuilds, spindle replacements, control upgrades, and specialized repairs. **Team Leadership & Development** - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians; assign work orders, provide technical guidance, and conduct performance reviews. - Identify training needs and develop technical skills within the maintenance team, including CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain), PLC troubleshooting, and machine tool systems. - Establish on-call and emergency maintenance coverage protocols to support production operations across all shifts. - Foster a safety-first culture; ensure all team members follow LOTO/TAGOUT procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards at all times. **AS9100 Compliance & Quality System Integration** - Maintain full compliance with AS9100 Rev D quality management system requirements as they apply to equipment maintenance, calibration, and process control. - Manage the equipment calibration program for CMMs, gauges, torque tools, and measuring instruments in coordination with the Quality department; ensure traceability to NIST standards. - Author, maintain, and improve maintenance work instructions, SOPs, and equipment records in support of internal and external AS9100 audits. - Support non-conformance investigations (NCRs/CARs) related to equipment and process failures; participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective a…
