Job Title: Maintenance Electrician IReports To: Plant Engineer Position Summary:The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to support plant operations. This role requires advanced electrical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with complex systems and controls. Key Responsibilities: Install and wire electrical systems for new and existing equipment Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues Modify PLC programs to support and improve operations Assemble and maintain operator control panels Rewire electrical mains and panels as needed Upgrade control systems to meet OSHA and safety standards Interpret and work from electrical schematics and diagrams Perform Maintenance Mechanic duties when needed Qualifications: Minimum 6 years of industrial electrical experience or Journeyman certification Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards Ability to read and interpret complex schematics Experience designing moderately complex electrical circuits Familiarity with AC/DC drives, including SCRs, VFDs, and related systems (up to 600V) Experience working with PLC systems Knowledge of proximity sensors and control circuits Ability to meet physical requirements of a maintenance environment
