Machinist

Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Operate manual machinery to produce parts. - Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts. - Create prints and drawings. - Select the appropriate tooling and material based on the project. - Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors. - Inspect machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise. - Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area. - Compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations. - Perform other related duties, as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Ability to operate various types of machinery. - Ability to read blueprints and plans. - Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. - Ability to program in G code and conversational. - Excellent mechanical skills. Education and Experience Requirements: 5+ years of experience in machining. 3G and 4G welding certification a plus. Physical Requirements: - Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. - Prolonged periods of standing and walking. - Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move, as needed.
