Machine Shop Support 3rd shift (Sun-Thur, 10:30p-6:30a)

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. - Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines - Read and follow instructions on manufacturing orders and blueprints to ensure that components meet product and customer design specifications - Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices to ensure all parts meet specifications - Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders: - Review manufacturing orders in order to verify internal and external customer specifications - Ensure all quality practices are being followed - Set up and run equipment in order to make modifications to aluminum parts - Inspect the parts as required to ensure the parts meet customer quality specifications - Ensure proper deburring, in order to guarantee that no burrs or sharp edges are on any parts - Inspect the parts to ensure that no nylon residue is left on the parts after running through the equipment - Ensure parts are assembled according to customer specifications - Accurately punch and stamp parts according to customer specifications - Package orders based on customer specifications - Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction - Operate CNC machines as needed and perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner in alignment with company policies - Provide machine shop support; deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, bending, etc. - Perform basic machine maintenance as needed; clean out chips, monitor coolant levels, etc. - Follow all company initiatives in the areas of 5S, quick-response-manufacturing (QRM), and safety - Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members and other shifts as needed to ensure efficient and successful completion of customer orders - Maintain department and company performance and production goals - Operate manual machining equipment as needed - Cross train within the machine shop to learn and develop skills on a variety of machines and equipment **OTHER JOB DUTIES** (Not considered essential to the job) - Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** 1.
