**Position Title: Machine Operator** **Reporting to: Production Manager** **Department: Production** Central Power Systems & Services is a privately held company with deep roots going back to 1954. We are looking for a Machine Operator to help support that mission. **JOB SUMMARY** This manufacturing position is focused on our Generator Manufacturing Division. The ideal candidate will have experience working with precision measuring instruments and operating machinery. As a machine operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, responsible for operating machinery to cut and shape materials according to specifications provided in shop drawings. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Set up and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc. - Operate machinery to cut and shape materials according to shop drawings - Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency - Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to quality standards - Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance - Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment - To perform other duties as required from time to time as requested **Benefits** - Competitive Pay - Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance - 401k with company match - Paid Time Off - Training & Professional Development - Positive and productive work environment **QUALIFICATIONS** - High school diploma or equivalent - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to minimize material waste by best practice utilization - Commitment to maintaining equipment in a safe, clean and good working order - Machine operating experience in a production environment - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Experience maintaining a workshop area with a focus on safety - Experience with the care and use of workshop tools and equipment **WORK CONDITIONS** Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
