**Information about the Company:** Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for 2nd & 3^rd^ shift Machine Operators (Packers) for our manufacturing facility in Chicago, IL. **Machine Packer Pay/Schedule:** - Pay $17/hr + shift premiums - 2nd shift premium $1/hr **and** 3rd shift premium $2/hr - 2nd shift: 2pm - 10pm **and** 3^rd^ shift : 10pm - 6am - Training may take place on 1^st^ shift 6am -- 2pm - Schedule: Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/based on business needs. **Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties:** - Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed **or**web envelope folding machines; pack finished product. - Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel. - Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements. - May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift. - Other duties as assigned/required. **Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-** - Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift. - Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine. - Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects. - Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.). - Must be able to work in hot or cold weather. **Cenveo is an EEO Employer** - The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent. - 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment. - Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler. - Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills.
