The Meridian Health Plaza (MHP) Family Medicine Clinic is looking for a personable and hard-working Medical Assistant! ## ## Position Summary & Highlights - This is a second MA position will work with another MA and busy Family Medicine physician and will also work with other MAs and providers in a great workplace culture. - Please make sure you meet the Minimum Requirements below before applying. - \*\*\*CNA only work experience does not qualify applicants for the MA position. See Minimum Requirements below for details.\*\*\* - Our family medicine providers can address diagnosed health concerns early, before they become serious, as well as help you better manage existing conditions including physical, mental, and social health issues across all ages and stages of life. ## What You Will Do: - This is a second MA position and will help support a busy family medicine physician along with another MA. - In addition to primary MA duties, you will administer immunizations, complete child well visits, and assist with minor procedures. - You will also perform phlebotomy, POC testing, UAs, ear lavages, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox. ​ - An Ideal candidate will have previous MA experience in family medicine or internal medicine and enjoy working with older adult patients. - You are passionate about patient care, have strong customer service skills, solid follow through, and has strong critical thinking skills. - You also like working in a strong team environment, have effective communication skills, and providing excellent patient care! ## ## Work Schedule: - 40 hours per week, 5 - 8-hour shifts, Mondays - Fridays. - Shift start time anywhere between 6:45am - 8:00am depending on clinic need. Shift end time will depend on shift start time. - Shift start and end times may vary based on providers' schedules and clinic staffing needs. ## Location: - 3025 W. Cherry Lane, Ste. B, Meridian ID 83642 (just east of Ten Mile Road) ## ## Learn more about the Meridian Health Plaza**:** https://www.saintalphonsus.org/location/saint-alphonsus-meridian-family-medicine ## Minimum Requirements**:** - High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire. - MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: - American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) - American Medical Technologists (RMA) - National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) - National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) - American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) - National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA) - New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification. - Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above. - Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire. - \*EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.
