About the Role As an M&A Analyst Intern, you will support Everfield’s M&A team throughout the investment lifecycle, from market mapping and opportunity assessment to valuation, due diligence and transaction execution. You will gain hands-on exposure to live transactions while developing a strong understanding of vertical software business models and the European technology landscape. What You Will Do - Research and map vertical software markets across France - Identify and assess potential acquisition opportunities - Analyse companies’ business models, markets, competitive positioning and financial performance - Build valuation analyses and review software-specific metrics, including recurring revenue, retention, growth and profitability - Prepare company profiles, investment materials and internal recommendations - Support financial, commercial and operational due diligence - Assist the team throughout transaction execution and closing - Engage with founders and business owners as part of the origination process - Maintain accurate company and transaction data in the CRM - Contribute to AI and automation initiatives across sourcing, screening and internal M&A processes What We Are Looking For - Currently completing a Master’s degree in finance, business or engineering - Previous experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction services or a similar environment - Understanding of financial statements, valuation methods and M&A processes - Strong financial modelling, analytical and synthesis skills - Interest in software, technology and recurring-revenue business models - Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint - Professional fluency in French and English - German or Spanish would be an advantage Your Profile - Curious about software, technology and entrepreneurship - Tenacious, energetic and comfortable engaging with founders and senior executives - Proactive and eager to take ownership of your work - Structured and attentive to detail, with the discipline to follow established processes - Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team - Able to adapt quickly and continuously improve the way work is delivered - Entrepreneurial, hands-on and internationally minded Why Join Everfield? - Gain meaningful, end-to-end exposure to European software M&A - Work directly on live sourcing, valuation and due diligence activities - Develop a strong understanding of vertical software business models - Take ownership of projects from the beginning of your internship - Join an entrepreneurial and international team in a rapidly growing European software ecosystem
