The primary responsibility of this position is the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of meals, food service supplies, equipment, and materials from the Food Service Department at Northeast Middle School to district schools and facilities. The employee will be responsible for loading, transporting, unloading, and distributing food service items while maintaining safe vehicle operation and proper handling procedures. This position is classified as an M-1 General Maintenance position and may be assigned to perform general maintenance duties throughout the District based on departmental needs, staffing requirements, and operational priorities. This is a full-time, 12-month position working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Primary Responsibilities � Food Service Assignment: Safely operate District vehicles to transport meals, food service supplies, equipment, and materials between the Food Service Department and district schools/facilities. Load, unload, receive, inspect, and distribute food service deliveries while following proper food handling and safety procedures. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, inventory records, and required transportation logs. Assist with the organization, storage, and movement of food service supplies, equipment, and materials. Operate delivery equipment, carts, lifts, and other related equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain District vehicles used for deliveries in a clean and orderly condition and report any maintenance concerns. Additional M-1 General Maintenance Responsibilities (As Assigned): Based on operational needs, the employee may be assigned to perform a variety of general maintenance, grounds, building support, equipment operation, and repair duties throughout the District. Responsibilities may include routine maintenance and preventative care of equipment, groundskeeping, seasonal and athletic field maintenance, painting, facility support, material handling, and other related maintenance tasks as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License. Basic knowledge of maintenance practices, equipment, and hand and power tools. Ability to safely operate District vehicles and equipment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and respond effectively to operational needs. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to successfully complete any required employment testing.
