St. Edmund's Academy Lower School Math Teacher (Grades 1 to 4) St. Edmund’s Academy seeks an educator with a passion for mathematics for a Lower School Math Teacher position. The Lower School Math Teacher works collaboratively with other teachers in the division to support all first through fourth grade students’ success in the math program. The Lower School Math Teacher is responsible for implementing the curriculum with joy and creativity while collaborating with colleagues to ensure alignment with the school’s philosophy and practices. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leading targeted small group instruction, using assessment data and knowledge of students to meet individual learning and developmental needs, co-teaching math lessons with homeroom teachers, and communicating collaboratively with parents. In addition to instructional tasks, the Lower School Math Teacher also supports community initiatives and contributes to the full life of the school community. Candidates must have an outstanding record teaching elementary school-aged students. The ability to be collaborative, detail-oriented, and innovative is essential. Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication are expected. The candidate must model and champion the school’s core values including an overt commitment to inclusion and belonging for all members of the school’s diverse community.
