Our mission is to provide cutting-edge technology that enhances connectivity, safety, and operational efficiency for our clients. **Position Overview:** As a Low-Voltage Cabling Technician at Telcom, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling systems used in data, voice, and video networks. You will work on projects involving structured cabling, security systems, and audio/visual systems in both commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of cabling standards, and be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling systems, including data, voice, and video networks. - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for cabling projects. - Ensure all installations are completed to code and meet industry standards. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing cabling systems. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. - Provide exceptional customer service and communication on job sites. - Work in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. **Qualifications:** - Proven experience in low-voltage cabling installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Strong knowledge of cabling standards (BICSI, etc.). - Experience with cable testing and troubleshooting equipment. - Ability to work with various cabling types, such as Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, and coaxial. - Familiarity with industry tools and technology for low-voltage installations. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - Strong communication skills and customer service orientation. - Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs). - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with additional systems such as security cameras, access control, and audiovisual systems. - OSHA certification or other safety-related training. - Previous experience in commercial or residential cabling projects. **Why Join Us?** - Competitive pay and benefits. - Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. - Supportive, team-oriented work environment. - Training and certification opportunities. - Health, dental, and vision insurance. - Paid time off and holidays.
