We have an emphasis on hiring near the locations of the work to decrease the need for out of town travel and more dedication to work-life balance. **Role Overview:** Installs, programs, maintains, and repairs fire alarm, CCTV, security, and access control. Ensures all life safety and security systems function properly and comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Install, service, and maintain fire alarm, CCTV, intrusion detection, and access control systems - Program, configure, and test systems to ensure compliance with codes and client specifications - Perform inspections and functional testing to verify system integrity and performance - Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, providing prompt and effective resolutions - Prepare accurate service reports, documentation, and system records - Collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals - Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and industry standards - Stay current with evolving technologies, products, and best practices in fire and security systems **Required Skills and Experience:** - High school diploma or equivalent - 2+ years of experience in fire alarm systems, with additional experience in CCTV, security, or access control systems with an emphasis on fire alarm installation **Capabilities:** - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Attention to detail - Excellent communication - Ability to understand and work with mechanical systems, tools, and machinery - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team **Other:** - Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record **Working Conditions:** - Indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to high and low temperatures - Potential exposure to noise, dust and chemicals - Must be able to bend, climb, lift heavy tools and materials, and work in confined spaces. - Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, or working in awkward positions.
