**Genera** **l** **Description:** Perma-Chink Systems produces log home stains and sealants; we are a national specialty building supply manufacturer who sells our products to owners of log homes, builders, and contractors. We are looking for a Full-Time Logistics Specialist to our Logistics Department in our company-owned store and manufacturing facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. You will report to the Logistics Manager and will become an integral part of our Customer Service and Logistics Team. **Position Summary:** This position requires integrity, problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, in-depth research abilities, multi-tasking skills, ability to work with changing deadlines and priorities, exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Teamwork will be essential as you will be working with our local and National store staff. **Ro** **l** **e** **and** **Responsibilities**: - Provide outstanding logistics support for the Logistics Manager and Sales staff. - Research and verify invoices (LTL, FTL, & Small Package). - Process Claims and Claim Payments. - Investigate and troubleshoot customer service concerns related to shipments. - Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with local and outside co-workers, and vendors. - Create, update, and/or complete international paperwork as required with appropriate Harmonized Tariff Codes. - Obtaining International shipping quotes & processing international shipments. - Maintaining detailed documentation in Business Central, Excel & Internally, as necessary. **** **Qualifications**: - Associate’s degree preferred; equivalent KSA considered. - Exceptional, professional communication skills, both verbal & written. - Dependable to work a schedule of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. - Aptitude for multi-tasking, initiative for self-motivation, and keen problem-solving skills. - Detail oriented with accuracy is essential. - Professional demeanor, friendly personality. - Computer, e-mail & data entry skills required.
