### **Position Summary** As a Logistics Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely delivery of products to our foodservice partners. You will work closely with the warehouse, transportation, and procurement teams to streamline logistics workflows. ### **Key Responsibilities** - **Data Analysis:** Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, freight costs per case, and carrier performance. - **Inventory Oversight:** Collaborate with warehouse teams to manage inventory levels, specifically focusing on product rotation (FEFO/FIFO) to minimize waste in a foodservice environment. - **Carrier Management:** Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers to ensure compliance with food safety and temperature-control standards. - **Route Optimization:** Identify opportunities to consolidate shipments and optimize delivery routes to reduce lead times and fuel consumption. - **Problem Solving:** Resolve delivery discrepancies and logistics bottlenecks to maintain high service levels for restaurant and hospitality clients. ### **Required Qualifications** - **Experience:** 1–2 years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation. - **Industry Knowledge:** Previous experience in **foodservice**, food distribution, or cold-chain logistics is highly preferred. - **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Transportation Management Systems (TMS). - **Compliance:** Basic understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP or FSMA) as they relate to transportation. ### **Preferred Skills** - Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. - Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
