Job Title: Specialist Pharmacist – Older Persons Medicine Banding: Band 7 Location: Portsmouth Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Hourly Rate: £30-31 Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Thursday & Friday essential), 08:30–17:00 Job Overview Pulse is currently seeking experienced Band 7 Specialist Pharmacists to join the Older Persons Medicine team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. Key Responsibilities Deliver and develop clinical pharmacy services for older persons’ medicine Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care Support medicines optimisation and improve outcomes for elderly patients Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the Trust Contribute to clinical governance, risk management, and service improvement initiatives Support education and training within the department Qualifications and Experience Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent in a hospital setting Previous experience in older persons’ medicine or general medicine (desirable) Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and clinical governance Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills Why Choose Pulse?
