**Role:** The Loan Services Specialist - Ancillary Products is responsible for all ancillary products added on to a member's loan, to includes debt protection, warranty, GAP and any other products offered by the credit union. The Loan Services Specialist will be the subject matter expert and responsible for ensuring all coverage is correctly in place, enforced, and supported for the benefit of the members. The Loan Services Specialist will support product sales, training, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive revenue and portfolio performance. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities:** - Ensures all purchased ancillary products are correctly processed to ensure the protection of the member loans. Ensures all corrections are completed in a timely manner by loan officers, and all policies are submitted in a timely manner to vendors. - Receives and processes member financial transactions including payoffs, loan payments, and payments for GAP, Extended Warranty, including claim processing. Reviews and verifies the accuracy of all GAP and Extended Warranty contracts entered during the month. Reviews and processes fees monthly and ensure accuracy in the GAP and Extended Warranty GLs. - Collaborates with the Training Department to ensure all loan officers are up to date on all specifications and portfolio requirements for the ancillary products. - Reviews and processes incoming claims regarding Debt Protection. Serves as liaison between the member and vendor to ensure all claims/questions are processed correctly. - Cross trains to assist with operations of the Loan Services team. - Performs other job-related duties as assigned. **Experience:** - Minimum 3 years working in a loan servicing or lending related position. Required **Education:** - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent. Required - Associates Degree in a business related field. Preferred **Other Skills Required:** - Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. - Proficiency in Microsoft and the ability to adapt to and learn new technologies/systems/applications. - Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization. - Must possess excellent time management skills.
