### Description *Position at Pilgrim's* Forklift Operator Purpose/Scope: - To transfer pallets of stacked products from production work area to freezer/cooler storage area, and to reassign vast of birds for use in production. Duties & Responsibilities: - Operate a Forklift. - Move pallets of stacked product from production work area to freezer/cooler storage area. - Retrieve vats of birds from one department and transport to another. - Retrieve pallets of totes/boxes from storage as needed. - Performs other duties as assigned. - Use required PPE and follow all safety guidelines of the Company. - Load/Unload trucks Qualifications: (Required/Desired) Skills & knowledge needed for the effective performance of essential job functions: - Able to learn and operate a forklift properly and safely. - Good hand and eye coordination. - Able to work at a fast steady pace. Physical requirements: - Stand and walk duration of shift – all scheduled hours. - Workable use of both hands and able to grasp. - Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens). - Physical strength needed to pull/push manual forklift if needed. - Able to climb stairs. - Able to reach and bend. Environmental conditions: - Warm to cold wet environment.
