Through timely, consistent, and fair and equitable program application, VCBR promotes self-recovery and self-determination of committed population. All contact between staff and residents is deemed therapeutic. This position will provide a range of psychoeducational, therapeutic, casework management services, and programming for residents in a therapeutic setting to enhance resident treatment and promote the residents’ pro-social behaviors. The selected candidate should have a working knowledge of the principles and techniques of counseling, education about psychological constructs and various intervention techniques; ability to evaluate and document treatment progress; exercise independent judgment in coordination and delivery of services and collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized plans for residents; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
