Job Description Our transportation team delivers innovative solutions for highways, interchanges, arterial roadways, and municipal street systems that improve mobility, safety, and long-term community development. As a Licensed Engineer (PE) on our Roadway team, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of roadway projects of varying size and complexity. You will contribute technical expertise while also supporting project management activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities: Lead and support the planning and design of roadway projects, including urban and rural highways, interchanges, and municipal roadways. Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents in accordance with client and regulatory standards (e.g., DOT guidelines). Perform and oversee design calculations, including horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage considerations, and roadway geometrics. Develop cost estimates and assist with project budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (traffic, bridge, drainage, survey, and environmental) to deliver cohesive project solutions. Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle, including participation in meetings and presentations. Support or lead project management efforts, including tracking progress, managing deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeliness. Conduct site visits and field observations to support design development and construction activities. You bring to the team: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis in transportation preferred A minimum of 4+ years of related engineering experience Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Arkansas, or the ability to obtain within six months Knowledge of municipal and DOT standards and procedures Strong communication skills Ability to contribute and work well on a team #LI-IC1 Additional Information Olsson specializes in engineering and design, client advisory services, planning, field services, and environmental.
