If you're looking for a workplace with a supportive team, appreciative residents, and opportunities to grow your career, Sandy Health and Rehab may be the right fit for you. **What you'll do:** - Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, and treatments - Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record - Ensure proper storage and security of prescription drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures - Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions - Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and the medication stored properly - Ensures the correct disposal of all sharps - Key information into computer systems including EMR - Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures - React appropriately to emergency and disaster situations - Other duties as necessary and assigned **What we offer:** - Competitive hourly pay based on experience - 401(k) with company match - Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options - Generous paid time off (PTO) - Up to **$500 per month** in nursing school tuition reimbursement **What we're looking for:** - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing - Current, active license as an LPN - Experience in long term geriatric nursing care, preferred - Current CPR Certification - Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language - Must be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language - Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement and weight measurement - Must have empathy along with exceptional communication and customer service skills **Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions** - Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases - Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients - Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. unassisted - Ability to stand for long periods of time - Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met **Why us:** Our nurses care for a geriatric population that depends on consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate care.
