Your work must be in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Unit Manager and/or the Director of Nursing Services to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The Unit Manager and/or Director of Nursing Services has the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. ***Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.*** **Full Time** - **3pm-11pm every other weekend** ***POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:*** · Assure that the written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing department are followed by all nursing personnel assigned to you. · Implementation of the policies and procedures are followed by staff rendering care. · Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regime of care is followed. · Monitor that staff follow their job descriptions and Assess skills of the C.N.A.s on your unit. · Assist with updating C.N.A. job description periodically. · Perform Administrative duties as needed such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting etc. · Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis throughout the unit. · Attend staff meetings on a regular basis. · Assist with discharge planning as needed. · Participate in survey process made by government agencies. · Review and evaluate your unit on a regular basis and make recommendations to the Unit Manager/DNS. · Make oral reports and suggestions to the Unit Manager/DNS, as necessary concerning the operation of the nursing unit. · Implement and oversee resident care plans. · Assist with the admission process · Assure that all medical records are up to date and in compliance. · Make daily resident visits on your unit · Review charts for completeness periodically. · Monitor timeliness of physician visits. · Monitor medications pass on your unit. · Provide direct nursing care as needed · Report problems or potential problems to the Unit Manager/DNS. · Keep Unit Manager/DNS aware of resident conditions. · Meet with residents and families as needed. · Consult with physicians · Monitor ill residents · Inform families of change in resident’s conditions. · Monitor for appropriate storage and control of medications on your unit. · Work with consultants to coordinate care. · Encourage resident participation in care planning. · Inform all staff of resident plans…
