**Licensed Practical Nurse** **EMERGENCY DEPT.** **Union: 1199** **FULL TIME ALTERNATING WEEKENDS** **11AM-11:30pm** **$35.8571** **Job Description:** - Under supervision of an RN, performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and re- assesses as per policy. - Provides direct care and indirect patient care services that meet psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. - Revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment. - Assists in formulation of a teaching plan based on identified patient learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning. - Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of the RN. - Meets current documentation standards and policies. - Communicates with Social Services regarding patient needs. - Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition. - Ability to perform treatments and provide services according to scope of practice. **Requirements/Qualifications:** - Current LPN licensure in New York State - BCLS required - Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) - Basic computer skills - Child abuse Certification
