The Legal Analyst role with the Office of Chief Counsel offers an exciting chance to support important legal work for the Department of Education. As a Legal Analyst, you will perform the following duties: - **Complaint Review:** Analyze allegations, gather facts, and determine whether submitted complaints meet required standards - **Legal Research:** Examine laws, policies, and regulations to support case preparation - **Case Preparation:** Draft materials, organize case files, and assist attorneys with hearing documentation - **Information Gathering:** Contact schools and courts to obtain records and verify case details - **System Management:** Update tracking systems and ensure case information is accurate and complete - **Administrative Support:** Assist with phone coverage, mail processing, and special legal projects Interested in learning more? In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
