Job Summary We are looking for a customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our apartment community team. Responsibilities (Not all included) - Greet prospective residents and provide engaging tours of the property. - Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins. - Assist with leasing apartments and completing all necessary documentation. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current availability, pricing, and lease terms. - Build strong relationships with residents to support retention and satisfaction. - Support marketing efforts and participate in resident events. - Ensure the leasing office and model units are clean and welcoming. - Use property management software to manage leads, applications, and communications. - Inspect available “market ready” units and communicate service needs to management. - Describe lease terms including length, rates, and conditions/exclusions. - Provide post-lease services such as drafting termination notices or initiating legal action for unpaid rent. - Verify application information and references. - Prepare lease agreements in accordance with state laws, company policies, and client specifications. - Process background checks, proof of income, rental history, and reference letters. - Update and maintain records in the property management system. - Ensure prompt resolution of tenant maintenance complaints. Qualifications - Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Professional appearance and positive attitude. - Ability to work weekends and a flexible schedule. - Basic computer skills and familiarity with leasing software (e.g., Yardi, Entrata, or similar). - Proven success in customer-focused roles. - Understanding of leasing laws and regulations. - Strong marketing and sales skills. - Excellent time and project management abilities. - Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
