Learning Support Teacher JobID: 5365 Position Type: Student Services/Special Education Teacher Date Posted: 7/7/2026 Location: CV High School Additional Information: Show/Hide The successful candidate for this position must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Special Education / Elementary Education), with valid and active Pennsylvania Teaching Certifications in Special Education (PK-8 and/or PK-12). This position is a special education teacher position designed to support special education professional staffing needs across the district. The position is expected to instruct in direct reading instruction, math instruction, executive function needs, and social emotional needs. The position will have case management duties. Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred. Experience and working knowledge of collaborative instructional practices with regular education staff as well as Direct Instruction experience teaching replacement skills (Reading, Writing, Math, Executive Processing, and Social Emotional Skills) to mastery is desired. The professional candidate(s) selected for this assignment understands and agrees that they may be required to teach in a blended or online format as requested by administration. Responsibilities / Skills of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Strong Interpersonal / Collaborative Skills Strong Organizational Skills and Effective Written Communication Working Knowledge of diagnostic implications of various disabilities impacting students access and progress in the general education curriculum (i.e. development of Reading/Writing/Communication Skills/Math/Social & Emotional/and Executive Functioning Skills) Ability to provide DI remedial instruction / effectively monitor (data collection) and adjust instruction aligned to data analysis / instruction based on best practice (i.e Explicit Instruction) Working knowledge and application (i.e. completion of compliant RRs/IEPs and other related process and documents) of Ch 14 requirements.
