The Learning and Development (L&D) Advisor II is responsible for leading and enhancing the company’s learning programmes to significantly improve the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees while ensuring compliance across our Rocket Lab sites. This role will work closely with the L&D Team Lead and other senior stakeholders to manage and drive strategic learning initiatives. The role will also develop advanced training materials, facilitate high-impact learning initiatives, and mentor junior L&D team members. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: Lead Innovative Learning Solutions Design and develop cutting-edge learning programmes using digital tools and advanced instructional design techniques. Create engaging training including e-learning modules, and instructor-led sessions that incorporate adult learning principles. Update and enhance training materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness. Drive Talent Development Initiatives Support the management and enhancement of apprenticeship programmes to build a pipeline of talent for critical skillsets Partner with managers to develop competency-based matrices for their teams Create role-based training plans to build competency and address identified skill gaps Engage and Collaborate with Stakeholders Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners to align learning initiatives with business objectives Foster connections with educators and industry experts to enhance programme quality Work closely with P&C team members and department managers to drive continuous improvement Measure Impact and Drive Improvement Develop advanced evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness Analyse participant feedback and training metrics to make data-driven improvements Report on training outcomes and provide strategic recommendations Support Strategic Talent Management Provide input in creating career development frameworks and pathways Train managers on training reports and competency matrix tools YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning and Development or a related role. Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programmes. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e- learning software. Strong organisational and project management THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE: Experience in production. manufacturing, or technical industries.
