Applications will be reviewed upon receipt.*** The Learn to Skate School Instructor is responsible to teach pre-beginner to advance lessons using ISI guidelines. This part-time position will assist in the testing and advancement of Learn to Skate participants. **Classes are held year-round on Monday evenings from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.** - Instruct lesson according to the guidelines of the Learn to Skate School - Provide assistance to patrons. - Provide direction in the event of an emergency. - Provide verbal and written reports to Learn to Skate School Director and Recreation Supervisor. - Other duties as assigned. - Knowledge and experience instructing different skill levels of figure skating and hockey. - Good skating techniques, teaching and communication skills. - Experience working with children. - Must be available to work Monday evenings on a regular basis. - Must be at least 16 years of age. ***The statements in this class description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by incumbent(s) assigned to this classification.
