We are seeking a skilled, solutions-oriented Lead Technology Specialist to support our expansive digital ecosystem. In this role, you will do more than perform routine updates; you will serve as the premier escalation point for complex technical hurdles and act as the hands-on project lead for school-wide hardware and software deployments. Salary & Compensation Hourly Salary Range: $18.70 to $21.16 per hour. Starting placement is based on the Board of Education support staff salary schedule, factoring in your direct education, field experience, and technical certifications. Role Summary The Lead Technology Specialist provides comprehensive diagnostic, installation, and maintenance support for all district-owned hardware and software used by students and staff. Reporting directly to the Director of Technology Services, this role serves as the primary escalation tier for complex tech tickets, leads school-level implementation projects, and mentors team members to ensure outstanding technical support district-wide. Why You'll Succeed (Qualifications) Educationally Prepared: Associate's degree, technical school diploma, or equivalent verified experience in computing, networking, and technical support. At least 60 college credit hours preferred. Troubleshooting Veteran: Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise computers, operating systems, and peripheral hardware. Advanced Problem Solver: Proven capability to diagnose and resolve escalated software conflicts, device connectivity bugs, and local network issues. Leadership Drive: Ability to confidently act as a project team lead, guiding hardware refreshes and software rollouts as directed. Mobile & Reliable: Must possess a valid Driver's License and have access to reliable personal transportation to travel between school sites. Your Impact (Key Duties) Escalated Technical Support: Respond swiftly to and resolve complex, escalated technical support issues submitted by students, teachers, and staff. Hardware & Software Lifecycle: Install, configure, test, and maintain district computers, interactive displays, tablets, printers, and learning software. Project Team Leadership: Serve as the on-site project lead for major technology deployments, managing timelines and coordinating deployment workflows. Systems Diagnostics: Identify and resolve hardware failures, operating system crashes, and network connection drops across multiple platforms. Knowledge Sharing: Mentor campus-level tech support staff and assist in documenting troubleshooting guides to improve overall team efficiency.
