This role will primarily lead a **toddler classroom** while also providing **interim support in our infant program** as needed. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage a toddler classroom by creating a **safe, structured, and nurturing environment**. - Plan and implement **age-appropriate curriculum and learning experiences**. - Support children’s **social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development**. - Establish consistent classroom routines that encourage learning, independence, and confidence. - Observe, assess, and document children’s **developmental progress and milestones**. - Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s growth, development, and classroom experiences. - Provide **interim classroom leadership and support within the infant program** as needed. - Support infant care routines, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and responsive caregiving. - Supervise and collaborate with assistant teachers and classroom support staff. - Maintain compliance with **health, safety, and licensing requirements**. - Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications - **High School Diploma or equivalent required.** - Experience working with **toddlers and/or infants in a childcare or early childhood education setting required**. - Previous experience as a **Lead Teacher or classroom leader preferred**. - Strong understanding of **child development, responsive caregiving, and developmentally appropriate practices**. - Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. - Ability to adapt and provide quality care in different classroom settings.
