**Lead Retail Store Generalist** Department: Retail Operations Work Location: Madison Employment Status: Full-Time Pay Range: $18.62 **JOB SUMMARY** This position will assist retail store management in training and motivating retail staff, meeting performance and safety goals/standards and controlling company assets. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Perform all Retail Generalist functions in the store - Greet and assist customers and donors in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner and issue receipts as needed - Open/close store as required following appropriate procedures - Act as Manager on Duty as necessary - Complete daily breakdown audit, store bank deposit, and reconciling cash drawers - Responsible for authorizing store discounts according to agency standards - Provide on-the-job training and onboarding for new and existing employees - Support all Mission-related programs in the retail stores - Oversee community service workers and assign work as needed - Investigate and document on the job injuries of all direct reports - Accountable for inventory control in new goods, soft lines and hard lines - Maintain a clean, organized, safe store and production environment - Ensure appropriate and safe use and storage of Goodwill tools, equipment and property - Maintain daily production log on all donations, production staff, tracking individual’s productivity and overall store production - Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position - Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants - Other duties as assigned **INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS** - Personally participate in ongoing cross training opportunities, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop. - Working relationship with supervisor and co-workers. - Must have the ability to work as part of a team. - Must be a positive role model for co-workers/programs participants and customers. **ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT** - Educate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization. - Demonstrate the Goodwill core values through actions and words. **QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
