Lead Quality Engineer

You will report directly to our GM Rotational Program Director and you’ll work out of our Columbus, Ohio location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact product quality, operational efficiency, and customer trust by implementing robust quality systems and leading problem-solving efforts that enhance product performance and compliance. ### Responsibilities **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Lead and coordinate quality assurance activities, including audits, inspections, and corrective actions to maintain compliance with industry standards. - Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes. - Mentor and develop quality engineering team members to build capabilities and foster a culture of quality excellence. ### Qualifications **YOU MUST HAVE** - Proven experience leading quality engineering teams and managing quality assurance processes in an industrial or manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). - Expertise in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies to drive process improvements and reduce defects. - Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance requirements relevant to industrial automation. - Experience with quality data analysis software and tools to monitor and report on quality metrics effectively. **WE VALUE** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in quality engineering roles with progressive leadership responsibilities. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. - Good understanding of manufacturing processes and automation technologies. - Experience with supplier quality management and customer quality support is a plus.
