Lead Occupational Therapist - Children & Families

Liquid Personnel is recruiting Lead Occupational Therapist for its client's Children & Families Team at Brent. What will your responsibilities be? As the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing the Social Care Occupational Therapy Service within Brent. This is a highly impactful position where your clinical expertise and leadership will directly influence the quality of support received by children and families across the borough. Lead and manage a team of Social Care Occupational Therapists. Provide regular supervision, guidance, and professional development support. Work directly with children and families to assess needs and deliver expert clinical advice. Recommend appropriate equipment, home adaptations, and environmental modifications that enhance wellbeing and promote independence. Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and external partner agencies to deliver coordinated, child‑focused interventions. Contribute to improved outcomes for some of Brent’s most vulnerable young residents. Qualifications & Experience: To be successful in this role you must have, Experience working with children with disabilities within Social Care. Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills. The ability to lead, inspire, and support a team of Occupational Therapists. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work across service boundaries. A child‑centred approach and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, strengths‑based support. Working Arrangements This role offers hybrid working, with 3 days per week based in the office and the remainder from home, giving you the flexibility to balance clinical work, leadership responsibilities, and administrative tasks effectively.
