Lead Medical Assistant

**Lead Medical Assistant, Full time, Westminster, MD** At AllerVie Health, we help patients live free from allergies, asthma, and related immunological conditions. Every role, clinical to administrative, changes lives in real, tangible ways. **The Role:** This is a **player-coach position**: you'll be **hands-on clinically every day** while also **leading the MA team**. You're the bridge between providers and staff, keeping immunotherapy safety protocols airtight even at peak volume. **Who Thrives Here:** - **Confident and decisive:** comfortable taking charge and making quick calls under pressure - **Detail-oriented:** takes pride in doing things right, no shortcuts - **Upbeat and energetic:** brings positive energy to a fast paced environment and keeps the team on track **Daily Clinical Work:** - Room patients, take vitals, review histories, prep for exams - Support skin testing, spirometry, immunotherapy injections, biologic administration - Administer allergy shots/meds under provider supervision - Document accurately in EMR; manage clinical inventory - Educate patients on treatment plans and follow up care **Lead Responsibilities:** - Run the daily clinic lineup, adjusting staff/resources to cut wait times - Audit clinical tasks for **safety and HIPAA compliance** - Train, mentor, and onboard new MAs - First point of contact for clinical issues and scheduling conflicts - Support clinic manager with scheduling and performance oversight - Track and report clinic metrics/KPIs **Qualifications:** - HS diploma required; Associate's degree preferred - CMA/RMA desired - **3+ years clinical experience**, 1+ year in a lead role preferred - Allergy/immunology experience a plus - EMR proficiency required **Physical:** Extended standing/walking, lift up to 15 lbs, close/color/peripheral vision. **Benefits:** Medical/Dental/Vision, HSA contribution, employer-paid life insurance, 401(k) match, PTO.
