## Overview The job is responsible for: Boca West Country Club is seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool patrons. The Lead Lifeguard will be responsible for supervising lifeguard staff, enforcing safety rules, providing first aid and emergency response when needed, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pool area. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Supervise and coordinate daily activities of lifeguard staff · Ensure all lifeguards are alert, attentive, and compliant with safety policies · Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure safety of all patrons · Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including rescue and first aid · Conduct routine safety checks of the pool area and equipment · Train and mentor new lifeguards · Maintain accurate records of incidents and safety procedures · Provide excellent customer service to members and guests **** **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of all lifeguard staff on duty · Assign duties and monitor performance to ensure coverage and safety standards are maintained · Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to new and existing lifeguards · Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all team members adhere to safety policies and procedures · Evaluate lifeguard performance and provide constructive feedback · Act as a point of contact for emergency situations and escalate issues to management as needed · Ensure proper documentation of incidents and safety protocols is maintained **COMPETENCIES -** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
