Duties of the Lead Commissioner As the Lead commissioner you will support the directorate management team to achieve value for money when it comes to commissioning placements across SEND and Childrens social services. The main duties of this role include: Manage the effective commissioning of children’s services placements Support the service managers with commission priorities and support the team development in seeking to commission placements Report to the HoS on progress with commissioning priorities and budget saving Lead fee and price negotiations at service level Devise new service delivery models for both internal and external providers Benefits of the role Not only is Rutland an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ authority, but they also offer a large number of other benefits including generous annual leave entitlement and local authority pension contributions.
