Join the power movement as Lead Assembly Technician As a Lead Technician on the Assembly Team at CFS, you will be responsible for overseeing and organizing the small technician teams to conduct all assembly activities to construct the SPARC Tokamak. This includes the handling, alignment, and mechanical integration of large electromagnetic coils, vacuum vessels, instrumentation systems, support structures, tooling and manipulation equipment, diagnostic systems, and superconducting cable bundles, all together into a tightly packed and highly integrated central device. You will use your extensive experience in building and handling large equipment, structures, or plant systems to facilitate the efficient and high-quality completion of SPARC. You will organize the day-to-day work orders of the day per the schedule, assign technicians to each set of work, adjust as needed from previous work or issues, give morning briefs and shift hand-off reports, and overall guide all activity in the assembly work areas. During this you will work directly and collaboratively with the engineers, the metrology group, the quality group, and many other team-members to ensure correct and precise completion of the components and identify and help resolve issues as they arise during the build process. You will work with other technicians and leads, working in a dynamic and flexible workplace that shifts focus and priority as needed to meet the schedule to complete our next-generation tokamak device.
