In addition to performing the functions and responsibilities of the specific 145 Repair Station Technician job description at an exceptional level; the Lead Technician will act as a subject matter expert for their maintenance discipline, accepting additional responsibilities as listed below and provide training and mentoring to shop personnel. They will be in charge of leading their individual teams. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: • Perform all core duties of applicable technician requirements at an exceptional level• Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs• Oversee and organize specific shop personnel resources and workflow to meet project deadlines• Provide communications to Engineering Department for specialized shop needs• Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs• Provide training on 145 maintenance processes and specialized shop equipment• Report Maintenance Leads and Supervisors on project constraints and progress updates• Mentor new employees in understanding shop procedures to increase their efficiency and productivity • Give feedback to Supervisor on employee performance• Responsible for monitoring, controlling and ordering of material usage in the designated shop.• Other duties as assignedAdditional Job Requirements• Regular scheduled attendance• Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: <5%Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
