At Nix, you join more than a thriving company, you join a family.* **What to Expect:** As a Second Shift Laser Operator, you’ll operate CNC fiber laser equipment to produce high-quality parts for a variety of industrial projects. You'll work in a fast-paced fabrication environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are top priorities. This role offers the opportunity to build valuable manufacturing skills while contributing to projects that serve customers across multiple industries. **What Will You Do?** - Operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment safely and efficiently. - Load and unload material using an overhead crane or forklift (training provided if needed). - Verify materials, job requirements, and part quality before production. - Perform first-piece and in-process inspections. - Stage completed parts and complete production documentation. - Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance. - Report equipment, material, or quality concerns promptly. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. - Support other fabrication operations as needed. **How Will You Do It?** - Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures. - Read blueprints and use measuring tools to verify specifications. - Produce quality parts while minimizing scrap and meeting production schedules. - Work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and teammates. - Take ownership of equipment, work area, and continuous improvement efforts. **Desired Qualifications:** - High school diploma or GED preferred. - Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred. - Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools. - Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. - Reliable attendance and ability to work independently. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in a manufacturing environment. **Health Plans | Paid Holidays | Paid Time Off | 401K | Life Insurance | Structured Bonus Plans** *Nix provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
